The Fisheries Carnival 2010 ended this afternoon. The four-day carnival drew the participation of 44 local entrepreneurs in the fishing industry, aquaculture, seafood processing and the related industries in supporting the development of the fisheries industry.
Present at the ceremony was the Director of Fisheries, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, Dayang Hajah Hasnah binti Ibrahim. In her address, Dayang Hasnah said the carnival had achieved the objective in promoting the fisheries industry through the seminar held on the opportunities in the industry and also in promoting fish products from the sector concerned and the sale as well as other products.
The closing ceremony also included the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the carnival participants by the Director of Fisheries, Dayang Hajah Hasnah. The ceremony took place at the Fish Landing Complex in Muara.
