Union City pro angler Lefebre places 36th, wins $10,500
CLEWISTON, Fla. -- Union City resident Dave Lefebre finished his 2011 FLW Tour season debut in 36th place, earning $10,500, at the Lake Okeechobee tournament Friday.
Lefebre, who earned just shy of $100,000 last year on a pair of professional fishing tours, hauled in five fish with a net weight of 17 pounds, 10 ounces Friday, giving him a two-day total of 41 pounds, 6 ounces.
Anglers occupying the first 20 places after Friday's competition will advance to today's action.
Chad Prough of Chipley, Fla., leads the tournament with a total weight of 67 pounds, 7 ounces.
