JAKARTA - The rise of illegal fishing activities among employers increasingly disturbing marine and fisheries sector. Because the unlawful acts that result in losses of up to Rp10-20 trillion per year.
Vice Chairman (wku) Chamber of commerce and industry (Kadin) Indonesia Marine and Fishery Affairs Prayanto Yugi said, commodities are one of the marine fisheries resources that are excellent maritime economic activities.

"We need to enhance our Navy's ability to prevent and arrest the foreign fishermen who conduct illegal fishing in Indonesia," said Yugi in Jakarta, Tuesday (03/22/2011).
Yugi further added, the potential for very large marine Indonesia to attract the attention of other countries to participate exploit. The wide range of Indonesian maritime territory indeed complicate the government to conduct surveillance against illegal fishing activities.
"We (the business) understand that the Indonesian sea area is very broad, so difficult to control, therefore the Chamber of Commerce supports the Navy to continue to increase defense capabilities and our marine territorial waters so that the potential of our maritime economy can be enjoyed more optimal by fishermen and entrepreneurs in the country , "said Yugi.
Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Soeparno said the government would continue its efforts to save the marine and fishery potential of Indonesia despite the breadth of terrain and limitations of equipment which is still a constraint. For that, he said, the Navy responded to positively support among employers through Chamber of efforts to increase defense capabilities and marine waters.
Soeparno said, the institute also supports programs that aim Kadin helping to maintain security and stability waters and illegal fishing activities. Yugi explains, business opportunities and marine fisheries sector in the region has not been used optimally.
