Five missing When Cargo ship strikes fishing boat,
Five fishermen whose boat was hit by a cargo ship last week in waters near Lampu Putih, Thousand Islands regency, are still missing, a police official said.
Thousand Islands Police chief Sr. Comr Hero Henrianto Bachtiar said Sunday that authorities were still looking for the men.
Hero said the fishing boat was hit by the larger ship at around midnight on Tuesday.
“The fishing boat only had a small lamp, the ship probably didn’t see it,” he said, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com. Three other fishermen survived the incident. — JP
