Fly fishers in Redding offer series of classes
The Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers, the north valley's largest non-profit fly fishing club, announced the continuation of a series of free classes to provide information to anyone interested in learning the various aspects of fly fishing.
The series of classes: Introduction to Fly Fishing and will provide a complete review of the basics of fly fishing as presented by STFF members.
The next session will be held 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13 and Sunday March 13 in the Redding Library Community Room.
Attendance is free and open to the public. All age groups are welcome. Refreshments served at 2 p.m.
"It is our hope that, through these classes, we will provide local residents the opportunity to learn more about this sport and the fly fishing venues that exist all around us," said STFF President Dick Recchia. "We welcome anyone who may have an interest in fly fishing, to attend our first class."
