Are you missing the sunshine of spring, summer and fall? Has cabin fever got you in its clutches already?
Don't fret, because outdoor show season is here!
Snow-bound fly fishers get the first crack when The Fly Fishing Show comes to Somerset, N.J. on Jan. 21-23. Show hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

This is the largest all fly fishing show in the U.S. and it features dozens of seminars, slide shows and instructional presentations from industry celebrities, guides and lodge owners.
Want to learn to fly cast? How about casting demos from Lefty Kreh, Steve Rajeff and Bob Clouser? The Federation of Fly Fishers will be offering free instruction in casting, fly fishing and fly tying throughout the show.

There will be exhibitors from the biggest name manufacturers in the sport, fly shops, guides and lodges, bamboo rodmakers and plenty of innovative fly tiers. Some of the top celebrities appearing at the show include Gary Borger, A.K. Best, Dave Whitlock and Nick Currcione.

February offers the big one -- the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show at the State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. This year's show begins on Feb. 5 and runs through Feb. 13.
Headliners include outdoor TV celebrities
from the hunting world, including Michael Waddell, Ralph and Vicky Cianciarulo, Lee and Tiffany Lakosky, Pat Reeve and Nicole Jones, Matt Morrett and Eddie Salter. Legendary bowhunter Chuck Adams returns to the show this year, as well.

The New Fishing Experience is led by none other than Hank Parker and Babe Winkelman and is designed to teach and entertain everyone from beginning anglers to seasoned veterans.
There are hundreds of exhibitors offering every kind of outdoor gear, gadget or trip imaginable. Demonstrations and seminars abound.
Among the wide variety of contests featured at the show will be the U.S. Open Turkey Calling Championship, which is expected to draw many of the best callers in America.

Dillsburg show

DILLSBURG -- The annual fishing show and flea market returns Jan. 22 and 23 to Monaghan Township Volunteer Fire Company, 245 W. Siddonsburg Road.

A $3 donation is required as admission to the show.

There will be fly tying demonstrations, free appraisals and displays from the state Fish and Boat Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

More than 100 tables of new, used and antique fishing tackle for sale or trade, as well as tournament information, boats and related merchandise.

The trout pond will be stocked with trout with prizes for ages 12 and younger. Rods and bait are provided for this free event.

Also scheduled are a number of free seminars:

- Mysteries of big pike on Lake Marburg -- Lee Snyder, local "monster hunter"
