Missing Fisherman Still No Sign of

On the shores of Thurmond lake in south Carolina family and friends of Scott Craig wait anxiously -- looking for footprints, anything that may help them find 'Scotty.'

His wife Sandie is among them. She says it is not unusual for her husband to go fishing, but when he didn't call her back Saturday afternoon, she knew something was wrong.

"I called him about 1 pm and check on because I knew he cam out there by himself. And he said that he couldn't fish to where he usually goes because the water was real choppy. And so he didn’t go over there but he said that he caught one fish and he said let me call you back that that was about 1 30," Craig said.
That was the last time she heard from her husband.

Crews from the South Carolina and Georgia Departments of Natural Resources work side by side to find the missing 36 year old.

"They said that they had found his cooler, fishing gear on the embankment," said Craig.

Around 8pm Saturday night, they found his boat, but not Scotty.

Crews called off the search late Saturday night and began again Sunday morning--- including sending two divers, to search the depths of the lake.

Family members say fishing was Scotty’s passion.

"A good hunting buddy, fishing. About one of the best cousins I have. It means a lot I don’t know which way to go from here," said Jamie Hodges.

Until they find Scotty, they will continue to wait tirelessly -- searching and waiting on the shores of the lake.

"Once I got here I realized it was like the end of my life, and he was like a brother to me. I just don’t know, don’t know to do. Don’t know which way to turn," Hodges said. Read More ...
