White Bass Run Gets Tricky

Last week I compared the annual "White Bass Run" in Central Texas to the "Running of the Bulls" in Pamplona, Spain.

A friend of mine read the article and commented to me that sometimes it is indeed difficult to separate the bull from the bass.

I've found this to be especially true where fishermen are concerned. Fishermen are notoriously cantankerous and tricky and like to protect their best secrets, so be careful.

Rowlett Creek White Bass Run 2011

The sandies have been in a couple spots for about 5 weeks now at Rowlett Creek. Over the weekend we had another nice school come in. On Tuesday, my client decided he wanted to go fly fishing for crappie. I told him the Sand Bass had moved in the crappie hole pretty thick and he was just happy to be out of the office.
