Each year the Council’s Salmon Technical Team (STT) and Council staff compile and verify information related to fishery statistics, including spawning escapement estimates. The report Review of 2010 Ocean Salmon Fisheries will be posted on the Council website on February 17. The forecast used to set 2011 salmon fisheries (Preseason Report I, Stock Abundance Analysis for 2011 Ocean Salmon Fisheries) will available March 3. The description of the Council’s proposed ocean salmon management options for 2011 and characterization of their expected impacts on ocean salmon fisheries and the stocks which support them (Preseason Report II, Analysis of Proposed Regulatory Options for 2010 Ocean Salmon Fisheries) will be available March 22. The STT’s analysis of the 2011 ocean salmon fishery management measures adopted by the Council for submission to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce will be provided in Preseason Report III, Analysis of Council Adopted Management Measures for 2011 Ocean Salmon Fisheries.
